BOARD: Chris Pyrah

Chris Pyrah has spent nearly two decades building a career with SCHEELS, rising from a store keyholder in Reno to his current role as Human Resources Store Lead in Colorado Springs. Along the way, he led store development for new Fly Fishing Shop openings, served on the company's Fly Fishing advisory team for over a decade, and authored a safety operations manual that became a company-wide template for OSHA compliance. Today, he oversees HR operations across recruitment, training, and employee relations, advises SCHEELS' VP of Human Resources on store policy, and regularly presents at the company's annual HR conferences. Chris is especially passionate about developing the next generation of leaders, currently mentoring several emerging HR professionals as they build their own careers. He holds a background in International Business Management from Boise State University.
