Cassidy Smith is the inaugural Executive Director of the Colorado Access Foundation, bringing more than 25 years of experience leading programs across nonprofit and philanthropic organizations, government agencies, and academic institutions.
She earned a B.A. in Sociology/Anthropology from Hendrix College and a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Cassidy is passionate about strengthening community and improving people’s health and well-being where they live.
Before joining the Foundation team in 2023, Cassidy held a senior leadership role at the nonprofit health plan Colorado Access, where she oversaw contract performance and program operations.
She’s an active member of the Denver community and a long-time volunteer with Vitalant Blood Center. In her free time, Cassidy enjoys being with friends and family and catching live music.
