Schools

All children have the right to feel safe and allowed to thrive in school. Sadly, there’s bullying at most schools, a fact we can’t ignore. However, with knowledge and tools we can prevent it from happening.

Where there is a group of people, there is a risk for harassment, discrimination and other negative treatment to occur. With our children and youth spending an essential part of their time in school, it is important that schools actively work to prevent bullying.

A successful bullying prevention work in school needs to be systematic, continuous, and done with a whole organization approach. Our long-term collaboration, the Friends 3-year program, always begins with a comprehensive survey of the climate and culture within the organization, including hot spots. This because each organization is unique and the work to prevent bullying should be tailored to your school’s specific situation and needs. We help your school identify what improvement areas to focus on. Our education involves everyone at the school and is based on your student’s voices, and our tools are easy to implement in the curriculum and use in everyday situations.
